Battery Status System

Interfaces With Chargers
The BSS is a first-in, first-out (FIFO) system that can interfae only with LIFEPLUS II and LIFEPLUS 2000 chargers. It tells you which battery is fully charged and ready to use.

‘Pooled’ Design
The BSS is designed for use where batteries are ‘pooled’ – batteries are placed on charge as charging equipment becomes available.

Multi-Chargers On One System
The BSS can accommodate up to 40 chargers on a single system.

Easy To Use
The BSS utilizes a large (approximately 20” X 25”) number display to direct operators to the charger whse battery has been fully charged.

Compatible With Handling Systems
The BSS is designed for use with either single or mulit-level battery charging and changing systems.

Eliminates Under/Over Cycling
By rotating batteries on a FIFO basis, BSS promotes maximum battery utilization and longer battery life, by eliminating the damaging effects of under-cycling (sulfating) and over-cycling (heat).

Selects Fully Charged Battery
By rotating batteries on a FIFO basis, BSS helps operators choose a battery that is fully charged and will not need to be re-charged pre-maturely.

Reduces Down Time
The BSS can reduce lift truck down time and repairs caused by undercharged batteries.

Aquamatic™ HP
Single Point Watering System

AQUAMATIC HP offers an alternative watering solution that can reduce watering problems and expenses. Compare and you will see that the AQUAMATIC HP sets the standard for performance, safety and value.

PERFORMANCE

Electrolyte level indicator – Each plug shows the actual level of electrolyte in the cell. One quick look can confirm that your system is working properly.

Specific gravity measuring – To measure specific gravity; simply open the flip-top lid and insert the hydrometer through the opening.

Lever-operated positive shutoff valve – As the electrolyte level in the cell rises, the float on the AQHP valve uses a strong mechanical advantage to push the valve mechanism toward the closed position. The water attempting to enter the valve also pushes the mechanism toward the closed position, providing positive shutoff – no leakage, no overfilling.

Wide filling pressure range – AQUAMATIC HP accommodates water pressures that range from 3 psi, which makes it compatible with gravity-feed, direct-fill and pressurized delivery systems.

SAFETY

Double chamber – Water goes down one chamber, gases go out another chamber. This design keeps contaminates and gases from entering the watering hoses. (See “water trap”.)

Large degas opening – Gases can easily leave the cell, while air can easily flow in. The LARGE degas port opening is located on the side to keep dirt and dust particles from clogging the vent.

Water trap – Each plug is equipped with a water trap to prevent hydrogen from entering the system or other cells. Should one cell ever develop an arc, no other cells would be damaged.
